Personnel Number Substitutions You can use this form of substitution to represent the classic form of substitutions, that is, an employee performing the work of another employee. You specify the different working time by assigning an employee another employee’s personnel number. This means that the employee performing the substitution is assigned the working time model of the employee being substituted.
This function is useful if an employee covers for an absent colleague over a fixed period, for example, or is to be temporarily assigned the same work schedule rule as another employee.
To represent this form of substitution, you enter the personnel number of the co-worker whose work schedule the employee is taking over. The system then automatically enters the work schedule rule according to which the employee will work.
Note
Authorization profiles that are assigned to the employee being substituted, such as those required for individual functions/process flows or other SAP components, are not transferred to the employee performing the substitution.
