Configuring RFC Destinations in S/4 On-Prem System

  1. Configuring SSC Rest Engine URL in transaction SM59 destination:
    1. Access transaction code SM59.

    2. In the SM59 screen, click on Create (F8).

    3. Enter a meaningful destination name <your_destination_name> for the RFC destination and connection type as ‘G’ HTTP Connection to External Server.
    4. Enter the description as SSC Rest Engine URL.

    5. Under Technical Settings, enter the Host and Port with SSC Rest Engine URL. This URL will be the same as copied for “rest_api_url” from Finding Rest API Credentials step 6b.
    6. Under Logon & Security, check if Do not use a user is selected with Logon with User.
    7. Under Security Options for SSL, select the Active radio button.
    8. Under Special Option, keep the default options and click on Save.
  2. Configuring the Cloud UI URL in transaction SM59 destination:

    1. Access transaction code SM59.

    2. In the SM59 screen, click on Create (F8).

    3. Enter a meaningful destination name <your_destination_name> for the RFC destination and connection type as ‘G’ HTTP Connection to External Server.
    4. Enter the description as SSC cloud UI URL.

    5. Under Technical Settings, enter the Host and Port and path prefix with Cloud UI URL. This URL will be the same as copied for “cmp_ui_url” from Finding Rest API Credentials step 6a. In the Path Prefix, provide the string /ui-composer/cloud-index.html.
    6. Under Logon & Security, check if Do not use a user is selected with Logon with User.
    7. Under Security Options for SSL, select the Active radio button.
    8. Under Special Option, keep the default options and click on Save.
