Use

The mass creation of maintenance notifications function enables you to create similar maintenance notifications for pieces of equipment or technical locations you have selected. The data that you would have to enter manually when creating individual notifications is copied in mass creation from a reference notification you have specified. You can do this in transaction Mass Creation Notifications (/ISDFPS/MNTF_CR).

You can use this transaction, for example, if you want to make a technical change for all five-ton trucks. Create a template notification for this technical change. Then select all pieces of equipment for five-ton trucks in the mass creation transaction and copy them. You can execute the creation of notifications in the dialog or as a job in the background. At the end, you can display the newly created notifications in the log.

Features

The following functions are available:

Every time you start the mass creation transaction, you can see in the overview the header data of mass creation operations that do not yet have the status Completed . By choosing the Status pushbutton, you can switch to the operation display. There are the statuses Opened , Completed and Change Request: Execution has Errors

By double-clicking on an operation, you can display the items. You can add items to or remove items from opened operations.

You can navigate from each item in completed operations to the notification that has been created. If you select several or all items, you can go to a list with all the created notifications by choosing the Notification List pushbutton. In change mode of this list, you can change selected fields of notifications that were created in mass creation by selecting the notifications and choosing  Notification Execute Mass Change.

Create a new mass creation operation by choosing Create New Mass Creation from the menu. In the dialog box, select the technical object and enter the template notification number. You can also enter a description for the mass creation run. Save the mass creation.

In the selection list that appears, select the technical objects you want. The new mass creation operation appears under the header data with the first text row of the description you entered and the status Opened . Double-click the new entry. The selected technical objects (such as pieces of equipment) now appear in the item data.

You can execute mass creation online or in the background. If errors occur, you can navigate to the log and analyze the error messages by choosing the Display Log pushbutton.

As an alternative to creating new notifications, you can select and copy an existing operation for mass creation and edit the items. You can delete mass creation operations you no longer need and that have the status Opened .
