Integration with SAP Environmental Compliance

Use

The functions of SAP Environmental Compliance help you to operate your facility in compliance with the law. Compliance with environmental regulations is based on the analysis of hazards caused by a facility or facility type. Properties resulting from the hazard are derived from this analysis and you must adhere to these to ensure that your facility is operated in compliance with the law.

The main functions of SAP Environmental Compliance include:

  • Facility management

  • Approval management

  • Task management

  • Report management

  • Exceptions overview

The technical view is modeled using the Plant Maintenance (PM) ERP component. By managing a facility as a maintenance object, you can display legal and technical aspects for a facility in the system.

The functions of SAP Environmental Compliance described here are part of the Defense Forces & Public Security (DFPS) component . For more information about SAP Environmental Compliance , see the documentation for the ERP standard system.

Prerequisites

In addition to DFPS functions, you must also be familiar with the additional ERP components:

  • You have familiarized yourself with the functions of the Plant Maintenance (PM) ERP component.

  • You have familiarized yourself with the functions of the Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) component.
