You can reload data to a local provider to update
the data in the provider.
Procedure
Open the Microsoft Excel file
containing the data you want to upload to a local provider.
Select the cells you want to reload.
The selected range must
contain the same number of columns you used for creating the local provider.
The column titles must also be identical.
Select
Reload in
the
Data Source
group.
Log on to the BW system.
Log on to the BW system
containing the local provider you want to reload.
Select the workspace and press
Next.
Select the local provider you want to
reload.
In the
Data Source
Details section, you see the defined settings for the local
provider. You cannot change the settings when reloading data.
If the columns in the
selected local provider do not match the selected columns for reloading, a
message is displayed.
Press
Next.
In the
Target
Location dialog, you can specify whether the reloaded local
provider should be inserted into the current workboook sheet or a new workbook
sheet after reloading. You can also specify that it is not inserted into a
sheet after reloading.
Press
OK to
relaod the local provider.
Results
The local provider is updated with the reloaded
data.
