Assigning Values to Custom Attributes

Prerequisites

You have created attribute definitions in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. For more information, see Creating Attribute Definitions .

In the ES Builder, you can only assign values to the attribute definitions created in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.

Open the interface object for which you want to assign values to custom attributes.
Choose Show/Hide Custom Attributes .

The Custom Attributes section appears at the bottom of the editor. This section displays all the attribute definitions assigned to the selected interface object.
Select an attribute definition and specify a value.
If the input values are predefined, select a value from the dropdown list.
Note

You can also enter free text for type Principal , using either of the following ways given below:
- Add one of the types (role, user, group) as prefix inside the brackets and then type your free text.

  [Role]SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE
- Add colon after the prefix (role, user, group) and then type your free text.
  
  Example
  
  Role:SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE
Repeat step 3 to assign values to all the custom attributes.
Save and activate your changes.

Note

Changes to custom attributes result in an additional object added to the same change list as the edited object. During activation, ensure that you activate both - the edited object and the custom attribute object.
