Sizing
Sizing means translating business requirements into technical requirements, such as memory, CPU power, disk space, I/O capacity, and network bandwidth. The Quick Sizer tool helps you do an initial sizing for SAP Fiori apps of SAP standard delivery.
SAP Fiori apps are browser-based. On server side, they require a front-end server and back-end server components:
-
The front-end server hosts the SAP Fiori UI resources and converts OData service calls into RFC calls to the back-end server. In addition, SAP UI2 services are running on the front-end server, which are responsible for all functions of SAP Fiori launchpad, for example, user personalization and logon.
-
The back-end server of the application consists of the OData service implementation required for the business function.
This is also reflected in Quick Sizer. If you want to size SAP Fiori apps, you have to size both parts accordingly. You can access Quick Sizer at http://www.sap.com/sizing
