Filtering Features

SAP Medical Research Insights provides the following features related to filtering:
Feature Description
Filter cards Enable users to restrict data when building a cohort or analyzing patient data
Basic data filter card Enable users to filter by patient information that is not specific to any single interaction with a healthcare provider
Interaction filter cards Represent different types of interactions with healthcare providers and therefore enable users to filter by specific interaction types
Genomic filter cards Enable users to filter for patients for which genome sequencing has been carried out and for which variants have been identified at specific locations of the genome
Combination of filter cards Enables users to combine filter cards in a number of ways to identify patients who have had certain interactions or complex combinations of interactions that meet specific criteria. Users can apply Boolean logic to find patients in the patient set that meet the following criteria:
  • Patients for which there is data for all the criteria specified
  • Patients for which there is data for one or more of the interactions or interaction sets specified based on the Boolean operators applied
Filter attributes Enable users to specify which data filters are applied. Users can add or remove filter attributes on filter cards. Filter attributes can have data types such as text, free text, number, and date.

Attributes can also be used to specify a date range during which an interaction occurred.

Filter controls Enable users to select predefined controls to apply more complex filtering. The predefined attribute controls enable users to:
  • Apply chronological and time constraints and filter data based on when an interaction occurred relative to one or more other interactions
  • Filter data based on parent-child relationships between interactions
Inclusion and exclusion criteria Enable users to:
  • Identify patients that match their inclusion criteria specified so they are included in a chart or visualization
  • Apply a negative filter to exclude patients that match their exclusion criteria so they are excluded from a chart or visualization
Filter summary Enable users to view a summary of the filtering criteria they've applied
