Universal Worklist Monitoring

Use

Special functions are delivered for monitoring the applications in SAP NetWeaver Universal Worklist. In addition, the general monitoring and logging applications in the portal are available.

System Monitoring

With the monitoring architecture in CCMS (Computing Center Management System), SAP provides a universally usable infrastructure that you can use to centrally monitor your entire IT landscape. The monitoring architecture is delivered with every SAP Web Application Server.

Monitoring Functions for Universal Worklist

Special WAS visual administration functions allow you to monitor the system status, the number of pull channel running and the number of active users using UWL.

You can view the UWL functions under monitoring in the SAP Web Application Server.

Function

Description

Connected Systems

Shows the status of the systems connected to UWL.

For each connected system you can see:

  • Average response time - the average time, in milli seconds, taken for the items to be retrieved from the provider system.

  • Success - percentage of calls to the provider system that wer successful.

  • Time outs -percentage of connection calls tp the provider system that were timed out

  • Total calls - total number of items that are retrieved from the provider system.

    The color codes can be configured in the SAP WAS.

Pull Channel

Shows the status of the running pull channels.

For each connected system you can see:

  • Creation time - time when the pull channel was created

  • Last connection time - the last time when the connection was made to retrieve items in the pull channel

  • Last message - the last warning message that occurred

  • Users count - number of users assigned to this pull channel

User Count

Shows the number of users currently using UWL

You can monitor the UWL functions using the SAP NetWeaver Administrator (JMX monitor) or RZ20 transaction (CCMS monitor).
