Printing a Record

Use

You can print the record and, optionally, also print its attributes, log and any inserted documents.

Prerequisites

If you want to use your own form for printing, you need to enter the name of this form under the connect parameter TEMPLATE_REC_PRINT in the corresponding element type in the Service Provider for records. If you do not make an entry here, the system will revert to the standard setting, selecting the smart form SRM_RECORD_PRINT_FORMULAR. For more information, see Service Provider for Record.

Procedure

In the Records Browser menu, choose Start of the navigation pathRecord Next navigation step PrintEnd of the navigation path. You have the following options:

  • Start of the navigation pathPrint Next navigation step RecordEnd of the navigation path: You print the attributes and the overview tree for the record. Model nodes are displayed as an unfilled rhombus, and elements are displayed as a filled rhombus.

  • Start of the navigation pathPrint Next navigation step Record (Including Log)End of the navigation path: You print the attributes, the overview tree, and the record log.

  • Start of the navigation pathPrint Next navigation step Record + DocumentsEnd of the navigation path: You print the attributes and the overview tree of the record, and the documents that are contained in the record (including their attributes).

  • Start of the navigation pathPrint Next navigation step Record (Including Log + Documents)End of the navigation path: You print the attributes, the overview tree, and the log of the record, and the documents that are contained in the record (including their attributes).
