Use
This documentation provides you with information about the steps required for displaying and processing Records Management documents using the SAP Enterprise Portal Drive which is mapped as a logical drive in Windows Explorer.
Procedure
Displaying/Changing RM Documents
-
In the Portal Drive under Favorites, History, or Roles, navigate to the folder that contains the RM document you want to display.

Double-click on the RM document to display or change its contents.
The document is displayed in the application defined for the associated MIME types in Customizing for Records Management under .
-
If you have changed the content of the document, save your changes in the relevant program.
If a document is in processing, it is marked as Checked Out in SAP Records Management to protect it from changes by other users.
Creating RM Documents
You create new RM documents based on one of the files in your local directory. You drag and drop the local file to the Portal Drive folder available under Favorites.
The result is a new RM document in the element type that was preconfigured for the respective model nodes in the record model.
Moving and Copying RM Documents
You can use drag and drop to change the assignment of RM documents to the folders in the Portal Drive under Favorites as often as you want. The following functions are available:

This allows you to use drag and drop in the target folder to generate a link to a document selected in a source folder. |
Deleting RM Documents
The delete function is available in the context menu of a document under Delete. This function only removes the RM document from the record. The document itself is not physically deleted.
