Executing the Interest Calculation ProgramTo calculate interest on items, proceed as follows from the Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable menu:

The system displays the screen for entering your selection criteria.
Enter data as required. You specify the following:
Selection Criteria
You can specify individual values and intervals for accounts, company codes and interest indicators. By choosing the Performance
pushbutton, you can also restrict the interest calculation to special general ledger transactions. Normal items are selected in the standard system. You can find additional selection options under Dynamic Selections

Calculation Period
Enter the date up to which the interest calculation is to be made.
Form and Printing the Letters
You can specify a form name to define which information is contained in the letter. If you do not do this, the form stored in the system is used. You must also specify the date of issue for the letter.
Test Run
For more information, see the following step 3.
Start the program run to print the interest letters and post the interest.

Test Run
When you set this indicator, you receive an overview of the interest due. In the list, those items for which no interest is due are hidden when you are using the standard system. To display them, choose . You can receive detailed information about the interest calculation by double-clicking on a row.
You can also print the interest letters and trigger an update of the interest from this overview.
Note
You can no longer exclude any items here from the interest calculation. For more information, see Blocking Items.
Note
You should take into account that memory use during a test run can be very high if you select a large number of items.
