Features

The Worklist iView provides a personal worklist of projects, tasks, checklist items, and issues. The worklists for an object (for example, tasks) are created by several queries. Each query represents a particular view of the personal worklist. The result of a query is a list of objects that you can display via a link.

  • The content of the lists that exist for an object is put together using different criteria. For example, you can call a list that contains only those objects (for example, tasks) that you already added to your favorites. Another list might contain the objects last used (for example, tasks).

These lists only contain released objects.

  • Select the objects you want to edit in the lists.

    • You can display additional information for an object, for example, linked documents, object links, or collaborations. If these links exist, the corresponding function key is active and you can display more detail data.

    • Depending on the query you chose, you can start different services for editing.

If you want to confirm tasks or checklist items, you can select several objects. For all other services, (for example, Create E-Mail ) you can only select a single object.

  • Refresh the selected query or all queries to ensure that you are working with an up-to-date data basis. If you refresh all queries for a larger quantity of data, the process takes longer due to the quantity. The time the data was last refreshed is displayed for each query.

  • If you want to adapt the object list and the project information displayed, you can display a filter row via a link and open a settings dialog .

Integration

Icons

The system only supports icons from the cProjects system. You make the settings in Customizing for Collaboration Projects under Start of the navigation path Evaluations Next navigation step Define Attributes and Object Types for Evaluations. End of the navigation path

For example, edit the following attributes:

  • MAX_SEVERITY (criticality level)

  • STAFFING (staffing status)

You can assign the various icons to the different attribute values in the activity step Mapping of Attribute Value to Icon .

System Settings in Customizing for the cProjects System

The system determines the project elements (for example, projects, tasks, checklist items, and issues) that are loaded in the personal worklist, via the project type. In order to edit these project elements in the portal with self-services, you have to perform the following activities in Customizing for Collaboration Projects :

  • Start of the navigation path Structure Next navigation step Define Project Types End of the navigation path

Make the following settings in the Evaluations and Dashboard area:

    • For Check for Threshold Value Violations , choose Background Processing, User, Save .

    • Select Use Dashboard .

  • Start of the navigation path Evaluations Next navigation step Define Extract Layouts End of the navigation path

Define an extract layout for the project (iterator: project).

  • Start of the navigation path Evaluations Next navigation step Assign Extract Layouts to Project Types End of the navigation path

Assign the extract layout to the appropriate project type.

For more information, see Dashboard .

System Settings in Customizing for the Personal Object Worklist (POWL)

The standard system contains the Customizing settings for the personal worklist of the project lead, for example, all queries are defined. You do not need to make any other settings.

  • However, you can create categories (groups of queries) of your own. You make this setting in Customizing under Start of the navigation path Cross-Application Components Next navigation step General Application Functions Next navigation step Generic mySAP Suite Functions Next navigation step Personal Object Worklist Next navigation step Define Categories End of the navigation path .

  • You can define your own queries in Customizing under Start of the navigation path Cross-Application Components Next navigation step General Application Functions Next navigation step Generic mySAP Suite Functions Next navigation step Personal Object Worklist Next navigation step Define Default Queries End of the navigation path .

Note that when you define a new query based on an existing POWL feeder, it is not relevant for modification. This also applies to creating feeders in the customer namespace. Once the existing POWL feeders are changed, this counts as a modification.

Optional Settings

In the portal, you can influence the queries in the personal worklist.

  • Define New Query

Here, you can define new queries and save them in the portal.

  • Change Query and Display Quick Criteria Maintenance

Here, you can change and save the selection criteria for the personal worklist. The quick criteria maintenance provides a reduced selection of fields.

    Example Example

For example, you can display the last 7 days or today. Enter 0007 for 7 days and 0000 for today.

    End of the example.
  • Personalize

You can rename or delete queries, add, rename, or delete categories, and define default categories.
