Features

You use this iView as the task responsible to confirm the work carried out and complete the task. The following overview contains the key steps you carry out in this process.

Confirm Task

The user-defined worklist My Tasks contains the released tasks that have not yet been completed.

You can confirm the time taken to complete a task with or without CATS (Cross-Application Time Sheet) . For more information, see “Integration”.

Depending on the settings you made for time recording, the tasks are listed on two tab pages. Both tab pages display important information for each task, for example, the planned start and finish date and the planned work. The data you can confirm depends on whether CATS is used.

Confirmation

  • Tasks with CATS Time Recording Since the time taken to complete these tasks is confirmed in CATS, the system only displays the actual work on this tab page. You can enter the current degree of completion as a percentage and the remaining work here.

  • Tasks Without CATS Time Recording On this tab page you confirm the time taken to complete a task by entering the actual work . You can also confirm the degree of completion and the remaining work .

    Complete

    The procedure is the same on both tab pages. You have the following options:

  • Complete indicator When you set this indicator, the task is given the status Completed and is no longer displayed in your personal worklist My Tasks .

  • Complete Task function key When you choose this function, the system changes confirmation data. The system sets the following confirmation values automatically: Degree of completion (POC) to 100 % Remaining work to 0 <unit> Status to Completed

    In addition, you can start the Create E-Mail (short) self-service for a chosen task.

    Undo

    The Change column gives you an overview of your activities in the current session . The system shows whether the tasks in your session were edited ( changed ). If you want to reverse this action for one or more tasks, select these tasks and choose Undo Changes or Undo All Changes .

    Once you have completed the confirmation for all tasks, choose Review .

Review and Save

All changed data is displayed in an overview. This data is in the buffer.

  • If you want to edit confirmation data again, choose Confirm Task .

  • If all the confirmation data is correct, choose Save .

    The system saves all data to the database and branches to the final step Completed .

    If an error occurs, the system issues an error message and no data is saved to the database.

Integration

The project type specifies whether confirmation for a task is carried out with or without CATS time recording. You make this setting in the cProjects system in Customizing for Collaboration Projects under Start of the navigation path Structure Next navigation step Define Project Types. End of the navigation path Tasks with CATS time recording are assigned to a project for whose project type the Time/Travel Expenses Rec. CATS/SRM/FIN indicator is set.
