Integration with SAP Fieldglass

Integration with SAP Fieldglass provides a holistic view of work orders in SAP Asset Intelligence Network.

Context

Currently, SAP Fieldglass and SAP Asset Intelligence Network are connected through SAP ERP/ S/4HANA. Work Orders are replicated between these two systems by validating the external id or the purchase order id through S/4HANA. You can now integrate your SAP Fieldglass and SAP Asset Intelligence Network systems to get a detailed view of the work orders and related processes in SAP Asset Intelligence Network.

Procedure

  1. Add one of more SAP Fieldglass systems as external systems to SAP Asset Intelligence Network.

    If you've multiple Fieldglass external systems, you must maintain a unique username and license key for each of the systems.

  2. To add SAP Fieldglass as an external system in SAP Asset Intelligence Network, see Configuring External Systems
    When you add an external system of type SAP Fieldglass, provide the details for the following fields in the Add System dialog:
    System Name
    Name of external system
    System Staus
    Active or inactive
    UI URL Information
    SAP Fieldglass UI URL
    API URL Information
    SAP Fieldglass API URL
    User Name
    SAP Fieldglass username
    License Key
    SAP Fieldglass license key
    Additional Information
    Optional information about the external system
    Primary System
    This toggle enables you to assign a primary system.
  3. Once you've added the external system, you must map your buyer ID in SAP Fieldglass to your company GUID in SAP Asset Intelligence Network using the Company Profile application.
    1. Launch the Company Profile application.
    2. Click External IDs in the top-right corner.
    3. Click Add.
    4. In the Add External ID window, enter the following details:
      System Name
      Select your external system.
      Object Type
      Optional object type
      External ID
      SAP Fieldglass buyer ID

      If you maintain multiple external systems, you must map each buyer ID with the company GUID.

      Optionally, you can maintain external IDs for your connected partners or invitees using your supplier IDs in SAP Asset Intelligence Network.

Results

SAP Fieldglass invokes an API and provides the relevant username and license key information along with the statement of work and worker details. SAP Asset Intelligence Network validates the external system configuration with the username and license key information provided. If it's a valid connection, SAP Asset Intelligence Network obtains and displays the statement of work and worker details from SAP Fieldglass.

Clicking on the statement of work and people links for each work order or operation displays the corresponding details from SAP Fieldglass. You can also access these details from the respective Statement of Work and People sections in the work order or operation object page.

Clicking on the Display Statement of Work or Display People link in the respective dialogs allows you to navigate to the SAP Fieldglass system for more information.
