Sending and Receiving E-Mails Securely
Use
SAPconnect offers the opportunity to send emails signed using S/MIME standards and/or encrypted or to receive and decrypt/verify e-mails that were encrypted and/or signed using S/MIME.
As an alternative to the option of creating secured messages using S/MIME using SAPconnect, you can also use the product of a third-party, such as a Secure Email Proxy.
Integration
The S/MIME standard has been integrated into SAPconnect.
Prerequisites
All the certificates and identities required for the S/MIME standard are uploaded to the system and managed there using the Trust Manager.

Activities

Call transaction SCOT and branch to on the tab page Signing & Encryption.

Select the required combination for the e-mail signature or encryption:
SAPconnect
The signing/encryption is executed in SAPconnect using the integrated S/MIME standard.
Proxy
The signing/encryption takes place using a secure email proxy.
