Edit Filter Bar Settings (Optimized Story Experience)

When editing a story, you can change the default options for the story filter bar.

People who view an SAP Analytics Cloud story have the option to change the story filter bar to a filter panel. For more information, see Change the Filter Bar Orientation (Optimized Story Experience).

To show or hide the filter bar, from the navigation toolbar select Start of the navigation pathView Next navigation step Filter PanelEnd of the navigation path. (When the toolbar is expanded, the View menu is under More).

Define Filter Panel Settings for View Time

You can decide how the story looks for anyone viewing the story. You can change the default orientation and visibility of the filter panel.

Show the Filter Panel Settings Menu

  1. From the toolbar, select Start of the navigation pathView Next navigation step Left Side PanelEnd of the navigation path.

  2. In the panel, select Outline.

  3. Select FilterPanel.

    The Filter Panel panel is displayed on the right side.

Change Filter Panel Settings

Set the default configuration options in the following sections.

  • Visibility:

    • Auto: The first time that the story is opened in view time after the visibility has been set to Auto, the filter menu will be visible if a story filter exists and hidden if there is no story filter.
