Filter Calendar Events

Use filters to highlight specific events in the SAP Analytics Cloud calendar.

Context

If you have many processes and tasks, you may want to limit the number that are displayed. Filters are applied in the workspace you’re currently working in. For example, if you filter your events in the Calendar workspace, the filter settings won’t affect the List workspace.

You can apply filters to the following attributes:

Time-Related Status
Note

As the Calendar workspace only displays events that are on track, this filter attribute is not available there.

  • All

  • On Track: Events that have been completed, events that have started and have their end date in the future, and events that are planned for the future.

  • Delayed: Events that haven't yet been started and whose planned start date has passed.

  • Overdue: Events that haven't yet been completed and whose planned end date has passed.

Procedure

  1. To display the filter bar, from the main toolbar, select (Filter).
  2. Select (Add Filters) and then select the filters.

When you want to filter individual events, select Specific Events and choose Events... to filter single events, or Series... to filter series. In the Select Events dialog, you can select which events you'd like to display.

    Note
    • You can only select events or series within the current time range.

    • When you select a process, its child events are automatically included in the selection.

  3. When you have made all your choices, select any space in your workspace to close the dialog. With specific event filters, choose Select to close the Select Events dialog and to apply the chosen filters.

Results

Your workspace displays the filtered events only and your filters are added to the filter bar. You can hide the filter bar by selecting (Filter) again.

Next Steps

In the filter bar, you can select the options in any of the filters to add or remove options.

When you select the filter for specific events, the Select Events dialog appears and you can add or remove events from the selection.

Cleaning Up the List Workspace of Delayed and Overdue Events

If you have many overdue or delayed events that aren't relevant anymore, you can clean up your List workspace.

There are the following possibilities to remove overdue or delayed events from your List workspace:
  • As assignee, check if you need to submit or decline the event. You can also remove it from your calendar.

  • As reviewer or assignee of a review task, check if you need to approve or reject the work, or decline the task. You can also remove it from your calendar.

  • As owner, check if you want to cancel or delete the event from everyone's calendar.

  • If you want to remove overdue series, make sure to delete or decline the series (and not individual occurrences) by selecting the Series tab in the Details panel first.
