Configure Email Server
As an administrator, you can configure a default email server or a server of your choice
for all your email deliveries.
Configure Default Email Server with Custom Header Sender Address
You can configure default email server with a custom header sender address for
all email deliveries.
Context
Configuring
a default email server with a custom header sender address of your choice helps
your recipients identify the source of the email and relate to it
better.
Procedure

From the side navigation, choose .

Select (Edit) in the upper right-hand
corner of the Notifications tab to enable editing of
all settings on the page.

Under Email Server Configuration, select
Default.
Note
By default, the Default option is enabled under Email
Server Configuration.

Enter a valid email ID in the Header Sender Address
field.

Select (Save) in the upper right-hand
corner of the Notifications tab to save
changes.
Results
The default "noreply-sac+notification@sap.com" header sender address is replaced with this
new email ID for all notifications and emails sent through SAP Analytics Cloud.
Configure Custom SMTP Server
You can configure an SMTP server of your choice, for all email
deliveries.
Context
Configuring
an email server of your choice ensures greater security and flexibility while
delivering email for your business.
Procedure

From the side navigation, choose .

Select (Edit).

Under Email Server Configuration, select
Custom.
Note
By default, the Default option is enabled
under Email Server Configuration.
Note
Make sure that the SMTP server supports
StartTLS, to allow secure transfer of
emails.

Choose the Authentication Type from the drop
down.

Click Check Configuration or select (Save), to successfully validate the
configuration details.
Note

The form does not save the changes if the information in the required fields is
incorrect or left blank. Instead, you will be prompted to
add the correct or missing information and click the
Save icon again.

On clicking Check Configuration, an
email is triggered to the user who is logged in.
Note
If the configuration is not validated successfully, provide the
correct information and check the configuration once again, or
contact your administrator.
