Your presentation is structured into different topics, and each topic can include one or more pages of content. Depending on the type of presentation and how it’s set up, there’s different ways to navigate through the topics.

Navigation menu

To pick a specific topic that you want to open, select the menu button () on the top left corner, and then choose a topic or subtopic.

Breadcrumbs

There are usually breadcrumbs at the bottom of the screen that show if you’ve navigated to a subtopic. Pick a parent topic here to return to it, or choose the name of the presentation to return to the first screen.

In some dashboard presentations you can jump to another topic from a specific page or widget. Right-click or long-tap a page or widget with a jump link set up to open the context menu, and then select Jump to... for a list of targets.

There might also be text boxes or images in your presentation that you can left-click or tap to jump directly to another topic.

Each topic in your presentation can have one or more story pages. If you can't display all the pages at once, use these options to navigate between them.

Page list

The top of the presentation shows a list of pages in the current topic. Select one to jump to that page.

If navigation buttons appear at the side of the screen, you can use them to move sequentially through the content in your presentation. Your presentation could also be set up to let you swipe through the pages on a touch device.

If the appearance of the next button changes, you can use it to open the next topic in an agenda presentation when you’re ready to move on. In a dashboard presentation, the next button disappears at the end of a topic and you can use different navigation options to choose another topic.

To see what other actions are available, check the context menu and action bar. The presentation designer can customize them, so the options can vary. For example, you might use them to navigate, interact with your charts and data, and change display settings. For a full list of options, see Options on the Context Menu and Action Bar.

Action bar

Move your mouse near the edge of the screen to open the action bar.

By default it's at the bottom of the screen, although the presentation designer can decide where to show it.

Context menu

Right-click, or long-tap on touch devices, to open the context-sensitive menu. You can open it from the background of your presentation, or from a widget (but not from data points).

By default, your presentation uses the prompt values that were set in stories.

You can change prompt values for individual widgets by selecting . Choose Set Table Variables or Set Chart Variables to set specific values for the widget.

To change values across one or more pages, you'll need access to the Edit Prompts button on the action bar or context menu. You can apply your changes to every page in the presentation, or just to the page that you're on. The new prompt values apply to each widget based on that model, as well as other models linked to the variable.

Some planning-enabled widgets can let you enter data directly in your presentation to explore a simulation. To enter data, select a table cell or value driver tree and use the slider and keypad to adjust values.

Right-click a data point to show a context menu. The options depend on the type of widget and the model that it’s based on. See Chart Context Menu Options for more details.

The options in these menus depend on the presentation settings, as well as where you right-clicked to open the context menu. For details about customizing these menus when creating a presentation, see Choose Your Presentation Settings. These options might appear:

Search ()	Context menu Action bar	Search for text within topics, pages, and individual story tiles. Results are divided into tabs, showing results for the current presentation topic and global results across all public, private, and shared Digital Boardroom presentations you have access to. Use the menu to change the number of results per page, or to change the level of granularity displayed. You can also turn on or off Live Search, which loads search results as you type. Searching for the text "Topline" in the current Finance topic returned several charts in the Profit & Loss story page. Selecting a result opens that page in a temporary window for viewing. You can also select to change the active page of the current presentation to that result.
Filter ()	Context menu Action bar	Opens the Filter dialog, where you can view the topic filters and story filters that are currently applied, and further refine the selected members for each filter. For more information about topic filters, see Adding Topic Filters to a Presentation.
Back ()	Context menu Action bar	Navigates back to the previously visited presentation topic.
Chart Actions ()	Context menu	Perform chart actions such as sorting, ranking, and value driver tree calculations. Undo and redo data changes performed while presenting.
Sort ()	Context menu	Sort data on the active story tile in ascending or descending order.
Rank ()	Context menu	Filter data on the active story tile by ranked highest or lowest values. For example, by top N or bottom N.
Normalize ()	Context menu	Normalize the data in a time series chart to compare the relative differences in percentage over time.
Explorer ()	Context menu	Opens a data exploration view where you can interact with your data in real-time. Charts are auto-suggested as you select and deselect measures and dimensions.
VDT ()	Context menu	Opens a value driver tree in its own window.
Preferences ()	Context menu	Groups the Maximize () and Lane Setup () options together as sub-menus.
Maximize () Minimize ()	Context menu Action bar	For responsive story pages, use Maximize to expand the active lane to fill the entire viewing space. Use Minimize to return the lane back to its original size.
Lane Setup ()	Context menu Action bar	Change how lanes are displayed for your responsive story pages, including how your content is arranged across multiple screens.
Refresh Topic ()	Context menu Action bar	Refreshes the data for story pages in the active topic. Note For live data connections, a refresh pulls the latest data from the connected data source for your stories. For imported data, a refresh only pulls the latest from the existing model data already imported into SAP Analytics Cloud.
Edit Prompts ()	Context menu Action bar	Allows you to enter variable values for charts or tables that contain prompts. You can choose whether to apply the prompt values to every page in the presentation that contains the same model, or just to the page you're on.
Variance ()	Context menu Action bar	Lets you add suggested variances to a chart, for example, comparisons to the previous period in a chart that's filtered to a single date member.
Reset Topic ()	Context menu Action bar	Resets changes made when interacting with a Digital Boardroom topic. After making changes, such as applying filters, you can refresh the topic and restore the page to its original state. If you've changed or entered model data in a table or value driver tree, those changes won't be reset.
Meeting Minutes ()	Action bar	Opens the Meeting Minutes panel, where you can create meeting minutes, and attach them to content within the agenda or dashboard, and publish them for others to see. Meeting minutes are divided into sections and each section can be attached to a different topic or page.
Dashboard () Agenda ()	Context menu	Opens the navigation menu where you can navigate directly to other topics in your presentation.
Jump to... ()	Context menu	Jump to other topic pages by navigation links added to a page or widget in your dashboard.
RSS Feed ()	Action bar	Display RSS feeds set up by the presentation creator.
Annotation ()	Action bar	Lets you draw directly on your presentation. You’ll need to quit annotation mode to use other options.
Favorite ()	Action bar	Mark the presentation as a favorite file so that you can easily fnd it again after leaving the presentation.

When you're finished presenting, you can close the browser window if you're done working in SAP Analytics Cloud.

If you want to leave your presentation and return to the Digital Boardroom start page, select the menu button () and choose the leave button ().
