How to Show More Hierarchy Levels in Your Table

Expand your table's hierarchical data to specific levels for one or more dimensions.

Your data is loaded into a table with the hierarchies collapsed. You can select the expand arrow to show another level of data for the current member cell, or you can use the menu to expand all members at the same level.

Note

There are times when the system is retrieving data that it can't determine the actual number of levels in a hierarchy. In those situations, the drill menu will show five levels, even if there are fewer than five levels in your hierarchy.

If you have more than five levels, you can use the drill menu to expand your hierarchy to Level 5 and then use the expand arrows in the table to expand the remaining levels.

To expand the hierarchy, right-click a dimension header, select Drill, and then select the level that you want to expand to (drill to).

You can also select the whole table and do the following:
  1. Select Start of the navigation path Next navigation step DrillEnd of the navigation path.

  2. In the dialog that appears, select a Dimension and a Drill Level.

  3. Select Set.
