Filter Line

The filter line is a widget that lets you filter on data-bound widgets.

You can choose to define a filter line for a single widget or a group of widgets. The single widget can be a chart, table or R visualization. The group widgets can be charts or tables.

The filter line widget has the following specific properties:

Property	Property Value	Property Description
Name	String	Defines the unique name of an image. If you do not enter a name, the system takes the default name (for example FilterLine_1).

Filter Line Style Properties
Property	Property Value	Property Description
Border	color	Specifies the border color of dimensions added to the filter line.
Background	color	Specifies the background color of both dimensions added to the filter line and the drop-down menu available when you add filters.

Filter Menu Styling Properties
Property	Property Value	Property Description
Mouse Hover	color	When adding filters, specifies the color of the drop-down menu items on mouse hover.
Mouse Down	color	When adding filters, specifies the color of the drop-down menu item when you click the mouse and choose it.
Font	size, color	Specifies the font size and color of the options in the drop-down menu when adding filters.

Properties in the builder panel varies depends on the type of filter line you choose. If you choose Individual Widget Filter, then its specific properties are as below:

Source Widget	source widget	Specifies the source widget that provides the data for filtering.
Dimension Selection	dimensions	Specifies the dimensions for filtering depending on the source widget.

If you choose Group Filter, then its specific properties are as below:

Data Source	Specifies data source of the filter line, for example a model.
Dimension Selection	Specifies the dimensions that will be displayed in the drop-down list of the filter line for end users to select from.
Filters	Define the default filters in design time.
Widgets that you apply filters to	Specify the widgets for filtering. It’s by default all data-bound widgets of the data source you choose. You can change to some certain widgets as you wish.
