Files and Folders
On the Files page, you can browse and organize stories, input forms, boardroom agendas, analytic applications, and other content such as uploaded files.
To access the Files page, from the side navigation, choose Files.
The Files page displays your private files (files that aren't shared with other users), files shared with you, and favorites, plus folders for Public files and Input Forms.
Sample models and stories are contained in the Samples folder.
Files that you save in a public folder have read-only status for other users by default.
Create folders by selecting the (Folder actions) icon on the shell bar.
You can make duplicate copies of files by selecting Copy ().
To move files to another folder, select Move To () in the Folder actions () menu.
- Only users who have Full Control are able to move files and folders.
- The owner of a shared file can change the copy permission of the file for other users. For more information, see Share Files or Folders.
- Team folders can't be moved. They always reside directly under the System level. For more information about team folders, see .
- In the My Files view, you can copy content in the Samples folder only if you own it, or if the sample content owner has shared it with you with Copy permission.
You can upload Microsoft Office, text, CSV, and PDF files from your own computer to SAP Analytics Cloud. For the maximum file sizes, see System Sizing, Tuning, and Limits.
To upload a file, choose (Upload File) on the toolbar, and then choose Select File.
Mark a file as a Favorite by pointing to the file name and selecting the star icon ().
You can filter your view of your files to show only your favorites by selecting Favorites in the menu bar to the left of the file list.
Depending on the access rights that have been defined for a file, the Delete option may be active when you select one or more files.
Delete files or folders using the (Delete) icon on the shell bar.
Deleted files remain on the system for a default of 30 days and can be restored if deleted by accident.
A (Deleted Files) tab is available in the sidebar for system administrators or users assigned to a role that includes the Manage permission on Deleted Files.
To restore a file, select the file in the Deleted Files tab, and then select (Restore). You will have the option to restore the file to its original location or a new location, and change the file name or description.
Rename a file using the (Edit Details) icon on the shell bar.
You can filter the file list to display only certain types of files, and you can choose to display only files created by or shared with you.
Select the (Filter) icon on the shell bar to display certain file types.
Choose which columns to keep visible in the file list using the (Show columns) icon on the shell bar.
