Allocations Roles and Permissions

Roles in the application that include allocation permissions are the Modeler, Planner Reporter, and Viewer roles.

To run allocation processes in a story, a user must have the Execute permission for Planning Models. The Modeler, Planner Reporter, and Viewer roles all include this permission.

The following permissions exist for Allocation Steps and Allocation Processes, limiting which users can work with structured allocations:

  Allocation Step Allocation Process
Create To create allocation steps. To create allocation processes.
Read To view and work with allocation steps, and to see the rules in a step. To view allocation processes.
Update To create, change, and delete allocation rules within a step. The Update permission for allocation processes is also required. To change allocation steps within a process.
Delete To delete an allocation step. To delete an allocation process.
Execute To execute an allocation process in a story. The Excute permission for allocation processes is also required. To execute an allocation process in a story.

Unlike for models, the permissions for allocations are bound to roles, not individual models. This means that the permissions apply to all allocation steps. To create allocation steps and rules, you must have the Modeler or Planner Reporter role. The relevant permissions in these roles are as follows:
