Creating a New Model
There are several ways to create a new model.
- You can drag a data file onto the Home screen to start the I'm Feeling Lucky / Prepare Model process.
- You can import a data file:

Model Import a file from your computer
. This option combines creating a model and loading it with
transactional data (see Preparing Data). - You can connect to other systems to create a new model from an external source: (Main Menu) Create Model Get data from a data source.
- You can create a model manually by setting up the dimensions individually and defining all the preferences and details of the model exactly as you require (see Creating a Blank Model).

Loading transactional data to a model (data integration) is usually carried out
separately using the options of the Importing Data to a New or Existing Model menu.Tasks
