Running Your Digital Boardroom Presentation

Use the Digital Boardroom for an enhanced presentation experience, with fluid navigation between content and on-screen interactivity.

After creating your presentation, select Start Presentation () to present it. The presentation can be optimized for a three-screen display with touch capabilities. A single-screen device can also be used, with options for how to display multi-page content.
Note
Digital Boardroom can be used with both touch and non-touch displays. Check the hardware and software requirements under System Requirements and Technical Prerequisites.

This topic explains the different options for navigating and interacting with your Digital Boardroom presentation.

Navigation Flow in Agendas

Agendas () are used for meetings with a timed schedule, where items are presented in a linear order (possibly by different people). When presenting an agenda, the order of agenda items and story-page topics adhere to a strict order to keep everyone on track.

Use the navigation buttons to move sequentially through the agenda. Previous and next page buttons let you navigate within a topic that contains multiple pages. Once you reach the end of a topic, the next button changes indicating you can move to next topic in the navigation structure.

You can also use the Featured Topics panel to open topics marked as featured.

Navigation Flow in Dashboards

Dashboards () are used to allow the presenter to decide where to go next, without a predefined path to follow. When presenting a dashboard, you can let the meeting discussion steer exploration of topics on-the-fly.

The blue arrows indicate special navigation links (jump targets) added to specific story pages.

Navigating pages within a single topic work the same as agendas (using the previous and next page buttons). To change topics, use the context menu to access your navigation structure and featured topics or jump to a topic using a navigation link.

Context Menu

Right-click, or on touch devices, long-tap, to open a new context-sensitive menu that allows you to better navigate, explore your data, and interact with chart actions.

Note
You can customize the Context Menu actions from the Presentation Settings dialog when creating your presentation. Choose (Presentation Settings) from the File section of the toolbar. See Customize the Context Menu for details.
Action Bar

Move your mouse near the edge of the screen to open the action bar.

You can choose where to access it from the Presentation Settings when creating your presentation, but by default it's at the bottom of the screen. You can also choose to show it at all times. See Choose Your Presentation Settings for details.

Setting Prompt Values

When you start presenting your boardroom, you'll see the prompt values that were set in stories.

To change the values, select Edit Prompts from the Action Bar or Context Menu. (If it’s not available, you’ll need to change the presentation settings to add it. See Presentation Settings and Theming for details.) You can apply your changes to every page in the presentation, or just to the page that you're on. The new prompt values apply to each widget based on that model, as well as other models linked to the variable.

Note

The Set for All Pages option isn't available for BW models that use hierarchical variables.

You can also change prompt values for individual widgets by selecting . Choose Set Table Variables or Set Chart Variables to set specific values for the widget.
