When you search items via flexible search in Backoffice, to guarantee the information security, access permissions on subtypes are considered particularly in the following scenarios:

  • When you have read permission to the attributes of a supertype but not to some attributes of its subtype, if the search condition contains any unauthorized attributes of the subtype, all items of this subtype are excluded from the search result.

The existing Outbound Sync feature has been enhanced with the ability to send DELETE requests to target systems for items that have been deleted in SAP Commerce Cloud. You can designate an Outbound Channel to be eligible for deletes by enabling a delete flag via ImpEx, the Outbound Sync Meta API, or Backoffice. As a result, SAP Commerce Cloud generates a DELETE request to the Consumed Destination configured in the Outbound Channel.

This time-saving feature allows you to move configurations from one environment to another without having to recreate them. You can use the Backoffice Integration UI Tool to export integration or extensibility configurations that you can then import into a target system. You can export the following three configuration types:
  • Integration API (InboundChannelConfiguration)
  • Outbound Sync (OutboundChannelConfiguration)
  • Webhook (WebhookConfiguration)

When you export one ore more configurations they are contained in a single Postman Collection JSON file that contains separate Integration API Meta API requests and payloads representing the exported configuration types.

The Webhook feature introduced in the SAP Commerce Cloud 2011 release has been further enhanced in the following ways:
  • You can now fine-tune which event a Webhook responds to by choosing from the following options: create, update, or save (both create and update). When a Webhook Configuration is designated for create events only, all updated events are ignored for that item type. An update configuration ignores the newly created items. The save option sends requests for both create and update events.
  • All of the webhook requests delivered by SAP Commerce Cloud support the binary Cloud Event Specification (v 1.0).
  • You can now create Webhook Configurations via Meta API.
  • You can now easily test your Webhook Configurations by sending a mock request from the Backoffice Integration UI Tool. You can send a mock request payload that can be modified by the user, or select an item that already exists in SAP Commerce Cloud.
  • The modal wizard for Webhook creation in the Backoffice Integration UI Tool streamlines the process by allowing you to create Consumed Destinations as part of the Webhook Configuration process.
