Using Mobile FavoritesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

SAP NetWeaver Portal provides a Favorites application. The Favorites application is located in the Portal Catalog under Start of the navigation path Portal Content Next navigation step Content Provided by SAP Next navigation step Admin Interfaces Next navigation step Admin iView Templates End of the navigation path.

To enable using mobile favorites, the administrator first needs to add the Favorites application to the Launcher , which is part of the mobile role. Then, in portal on device, the user can add navigation suggestions to the Favorites . As a result of adding the first navigation suggestion as a favorite, a Mobile folder is added to the Favorites menu in the masthead of the desktop portal. The Mobile folder contains all the navigation suggestions that are added as favorites from the mobile device. The user can also create the Mobile folder in the portal, and add to it favorite items that are external URLs.

Once the Mobile folder contains items, the on-device user can access the favorites from the Launcher .

Using Custom Favorite Providers

When using custom favorite providers, the Favorites menu has a separate folder for each provider, and another folder named Portal Favorites . In this case, adding navigation suggestions from portal on device automatically adds the Mobile folder under Portal Favorites . However, for each custom content provider folder, you need to manually add the Mobile folder beneath it, and then manually add the favorites (using the Organize Favorites option).
