SAPconnect is a standard interface for communication between SAP Systems and external communication systems. SAPconnect supports telecommunications services such as FAX, Internet, X.400 and the SAPoffice SAP System ßà SAP System connection.
SAPconnect uses a non-dialog RFC user to log on to the external system. You should define this user as type CPIC and assign the pre-defined authorization profile S_A.SCON. SAPconnect applies the name of the user as it is found in the user's address information as the sender of mails. If no name exists in the user's address information, SAPconnect applies the actual user ID Therefore, we recommend you maintain the address information for this user. Give it a name that indicates that it is a SAPconnect user without revealing the actual user ID.
Create the user SAPCON_RFC for using SAPconnect. Make sure it is a communications user and assign it the profile S_A.SCON. In the address information, assign it the name SAPConnect Service User.
When mails are sent with SAPconnect, the name "SAPConnect Service User" appears as the sender of the mail. The user ID SAPCON_RFC remains unknown.
