Background Processing
Use
Background processing automates routine tasks and helps you optimize the SAP System computing resources of your organization. Using background processing, you can execute programs that are time-consuming or resource-intensive when the system load is low. It also lets you delegate the task of running reports or programs to the system. Your dialog sessions are not used, and reports that run in the background are not subject to the dialog-step runtime limit that applies to interactive sessions.
