Starting and Stopping the Portal

There are occasions when you may need to shut down the portal environment, for example, to perform system maintenance.

The portal is installed on the AS Java. Therefore, to start and stop the portal, you follow the procedure in the section Starting and Stopping SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP and Java .
