Use of Available-to-Promise on the Internet
If you use the Internet Application Component Available to Promise for information on material availability, the procedure is as described below.
Material Selection
The salesperson, MRP controller or customer can check to see whether sufficient quantities of the product are available on the required date directly in the Internet.
After logging on, you receive a graphic overview of the range of products in the left-hand corner of the screen.
You can select the product you are interested in from this overview as follows:
You can also select the product in question directly by entering the material number or the material short description.
Accessing Available to Promise
To carry out the availability check, the R/3 System also requires the desired delivery date and the desired quantity.
On the right-hand side of the screen, the results of the availability check are displayed. The following information is displayed:
The ATP quantity is the quantity that is still available after the confirmed requirements have been taken into account.
If you check with replenishment lead time and the required quantity is not available for the desired date, the end of the replenishment lead time is also displayed.

The availability check is carried out per plant and material. The plant is determined using the user parameters in the R/3 System.
The date in the display is not the delivery date, but the material provision date as no delivery scheduling is active in the Internet Application Component.
