Working with List Header and Material Tree
Use
The list header contains material data from the material master and displays, if necessary, which display filter and which selection rule are active.
In the material tree, you can put together a worklist from the materials that are currently of interest to you.
Prerequisites
You have called up the MRP list or the stock/requirements list for a material.

What you should know |
Hide and show header details for the material |
|
The header details point to various tab pages for master data and movement data for the material selected. Which tab pages are displayed depends on the MRP type. This enables you to display different data for consumption-based and requirement-based materials. There is a special tab page for the MRP list that shows, amongst other things, that exception messages exist for the chosen material. You define the tab page sequence in Customizing for MRP in the IMG activity Define screen sequence for header details. |
Choose a further unit |
Unit field |
If different units of measure have been maintained for a material, for example, unit of issue in the warehouse and order unit for purchasing, you can display the lists for this material in two different units of measure at the same time. The system then displays the Receipt/requirement and Available quantity columns twice. |
Calculate proportion quantities (only in stock/requirements lists) |
|
For active ingredient management only: the system calculates the active ingredient quantity (proportion quantity) from the physical quantity in the proportion unit. To do this, the system reads the actual conversion factor of the batch information. If no batch information is available, it uses the planned conversion factor. The system then displays the Receipt/requirement and Available quantity columns twice. You can find further information on active ingredient management in the SAP document Batch Management under
Batch Specific Units of Measure. |
Display inventory correction factor (only in stock/requirements lists) |
|
For active ingredient management only: you can check which inventory correction factor the system has used to calculate stocks. You can find further information on the inventory correction factor in the SAP document Batch Management under
Calculating the Inventory Correction Factor. |
Enter or display material memo |
|
Next to the symbol for the material memo the name and date of the last change are displayed. Material memos are valid for both types of list. |
Set processing indicator (only for MRP lists) |
|
During the next planning run, the exception messages for this material are no longer considered to be new exceptions. This function is also supported in the material list. |
