Define Overview
Variants
In this step you define the structure and
content of individual overview variants. You assign predefined columns to the
overview variants.
You define an overview variant by specifying
the following:
- which columns are to appear in the overview
variant
- position of the columns in the overview
variant
In doing this, you
determine the column of the overview variant in which a predefined column is
to appear.
- requirements type, if necessary
If you want to
compare target requirements and remaining requirements, you can specify
whether target requirements or remaining requirements are shown for each
overview variant column.
If you do not
specify, the target requirements or remaining requirements are displayed
according to the default setting.
- whether the selection values are to appear in
the overview heading
You can specify
whether the selection values of a set are to appear in the heading for each
column.
For example, if you
assign requirements for order 4711 to a column, you can write this selection
value as the heading above the column.
A
set is assigned to the column which has a value of "4711" for
field
order number . The value of set "4711" is the selection
value.
An overview variant can have any number of
columns. The width of your screen or printer may determine the number of
columns you choose.
Example
You want to create an overview variant that
compares the requirements of capacity category "labor" with the requirements
of capacity category "machine".
You must define the overview variant as
follows:
Column Description Heading Width Reqmts sel.values
-----------------------------------------------------------------
1 SP1 Reqmts 10 1
2 SP2 Reqmts 10 1
The requirements for
the predefined column SP1 appear in column 1. The column width is 10
characters.
The requirements for
the predefined column SP2 appear in column 2. The column width is also 10
characters.
Column SP1 is
defined so that the requirements for capacity category "machine" is
calculated, which means with reference to a set that assigns the value "001"
to the field "capacity category".
The same applies to
column SP2.
The headings for the
columns are "requirements 001" or "requirements 002".
You specified the
text "requirements" as the heading in the overview variant
definition.
- Requirements of selection values
The text "001" or
"002" is copied as the selection value from the set for column SP1 or SP2 if
the selection values are to be displayed (indicator "1").
Note
You can only display requirements in a variable
overview which you have previously defined in selection during capacity
leveling. This means, you can only evaluate what corresponds to the selection
criteria on the selection list. Therefore, if you have selected work center
"R0815" and only this work center is displayed on the selection list, you
cannot display any requirements for work center "R0888" on the variable
overview.
