delta versions
of activity-based costing
Introduction
In the version maintenance you determine
whether transactions in the reference versions or in thedelta version should
be carried out.
Select the corresponding field:
- Field is selected: transaction remains in
reference version where it is carried out; transaction data is transfered to
the delta version.
- Field is not selected: transaction is
transfered to the delta version from the reference version and carried in the
delta; transaction data is written in the delta version.
The transaction data from primary costs in
actual, and overhead charges in plan and actual are transfered by the R/3
system from reference version to the delta version.
Recommendation
- Due to internal dependencies between the
business transactions, you are recommended to transfer the following
transactions out of the reference version:
Primary costs (plan and actual)
Accrual (plan and actual).
This selection ensures that all primary costs are transfered from the
reference version to the delta version of the activity-based costing. This
allows you to allocate these costs in a reconciled parallel calculation to
business processes.
- While selecting a transaction, note the
sequence of allocations and the relevant and existing dependencies between
them. More information is available in Help for applicaitons of Activity-Based
Costing under "Process plan -> Scope process plan" and "Period-end closing
-> Scope period-end closing".
More information about working with the delta
version is in Help for applications of Activity-Based Costing under "Methods
of Activity-Based Costing -> Parallel Activity-Based Costing".
