Transportation Planning in Cooperation with Forwarding Agents

The forwarding agent has assumed planning functions together with the shipper.

Communication over the transportation planning interface between forwarding agent and shipper takes place using IDocs. The forwarding agent receives deliveries for planning from the shipper by IDoc, and transmits planned shipments and changes to the shipper using the same method.

Perform all necessary settings in the following activities:

• Set freight planning for forwarding agents

• Define logical external systems

• Define RFC destination

• Maintain assignment of external system to ALE messages

• Maintain ALE port definition

• Maintain ALE partner agreements

• Maintain material cumulation for routes

• Maintain planning restrictions for routes
