Analyzing Fixed Assets 

Use

To analyze fixed assets, in addition to the financial statement and line item analysis, you can call up other reports. We have provided some suggestions.

Procedure

  1. Go to ASSETS in the commercial balance sheet.
  2. The total of Fixed and Current assets is displayed.

  3. Select Fixed assets.
  4. Choose .
  5. In the Hierarchy dialog box, choose Set level.
  6. Select Level 7 and then choose .
  7. The fixed assets are now displayed down to the G/L account level.

  8. Select Land and similar rights.
  9. Choose .
  10. In the dialog box, choose Asset Balances and then .
  11. On the Asset Balance screen, the system displays an overview of the land and buildings of this company code together with further information about the acquisition value, the accumulated depreciation, and the net book value.

  12. Select Buildings and then choose .
  13. The system displays a list of the buildings belonging to the fixed assets of this company code. The list supplies further information about the asset number, the capitalization date, and the name. You can also see the acquisition values, the accumulated depreciation, and the net book value of each individual real estate object.

  14. To call up details of a real estate object, simply double-click on the object.
  15. You see an overview of depreciation planned values.

  16. Choose to return to the Execute Drilldown Report Actual/Actual Comparison for Year screen.
  17. To call up other reports, select the respective item and choose .
  18. In the dialog box, choose Asset History Sheet and then .
  19. The system displays the asset history according to book depreciation per trade law for the end of the fiscal year.

    The first column displays the acquisition costs and cost of goods manufactured for each real estate object, the total depreciation throughout the year, and the remaining value at the end of the year.

  20. Select Goto ® Call Sequence.
  21. In the dialog box, select Actual/actual comparison for year and choose .
  22. Choose .
  23. In the dialog box, choose Lift level.
  24. Remain on this screen.
