Report
Assignment
You can use the report/report interface to link
reports with each other. You can then navigate between reports in the report
evaluation.
When linking reports, note the
following:
1. You can only
pass from general information to more detailed information, never the other
way. So you can jump from a hierarchy report to a cost element report or line
item report. You can jump from a cost element report to a line item report,
but the jump back to the hierarchy report is not supported.
2. You can jump
between reports at one level of detail - for example, between hierarchy
reports.
3. When you
create your own Report Painter, Report Writer, or hierarchy reports, the above
rules apply there too. You cannot attach reports you have written yourself to
the interface.
4. Jumps from
PS to reports in other applications are not supported at this
time.
5. Jumps to PS
report are only supported from IM (Investment Management)
reporting.
6. You cannot
jump to other reports from summarization reports.
7. If the
cursor is in a formula column and you jump to another report (for example,
from a cost element report to a line item report), there is no guarantee that
the report accessed will be supplied with the selections belonging to the
formula column. The report/report interface cannot determine the selections
for a formula column which would result from the formula defined in that
column.
8. From the
graphic planning board and the structure overviews, you can only access
hierarchy reports from the "KP" (Projects) application.
For more information on the report/report
interface, read the document CA General Drilldown in the R/3
Library.
