Logistics - General (LO)

Collection of information used to configure specific objects.

The information stored in a profile is standard information that is needed repeatedly in similar combinations for the maintenance of different objects.

A profile acts as a data entry tool and simplifies the management of object data.

Project System (PS)

Profiles contain default values and control parameters for processing various objects and functions in the Project System.

The Project System distinguishes between the following profiles:

• Standard network profile

• Network profile

• Project profile

• Plan profile for cost planning in the WBS

• Budget profile

• Information system profiles

(CRM)

Describes a finite list of freely definable attributes and attribute values relating to business partners or products and used for marketing purposes.

In the case of profiles for business partners, attributes could for example be:

• Demographic (religion, gender, age)

• Socio-economic (income, occupation)

• Purchasing behavior (number of previous purchases, preferred products)

The attributes and the corresponding attribute values contained in profiles can be used to create target groups for different marketing activities.
