"Create cost element groups"

In this section you learn how to define and use cost element groups.

In controlling area 0001, these standard cost element layouts are available in the chart of accounts:

1. Check whether the cost element groups supplied by SAP are sufficient.

2. Create your own cost element groups, if necessary.

Consult with Financial Accounting (FI) to ensure that corresponding G/L accounts are created for all of your primary cost elements.

3. Check whether all the primary cost elements are contained in your cost element group.
