Check Number Ranges for Rough-Cut Planning

In this step, you define number ranges for the planning or budgeting change documents.

For each posting within Controlling , the SAP System creates a numbered document. Changes to planned values and budget values are documented and, as such, can be clearly identified.

• The number ranges are reserved as follows:

• You must assign a user status to the WBS element or the order for the project. The business transaction "Write planned line item" must be assigned to this user status so that documents for changing planned values can be created.

Notes on the Transport

You transport number range objects as follows:

In the initial screen, choose Interval -> Transport.

Note that all intervals for the selected number range object are deleted in the target system first. After the import, only the intervals you export are present. The number statuses are imported with their values at the time of export.

Dependent tables are not transported or converted.

External number range allocation is not possible for cost planning change documents.
