Portal
This section describes the basic initial configuration tasks you need to perform as a portal administrator after it has been installed.
Before you begin configuring the portal, read the following topics:
Logging On to / Off the Portal: Describes how you log on to and log off from the portal
Working in the Portal: Describes the portal interface and basic runtime tasks you can perform as a portal user, such personalizing your own portal desktop.
Standard Portal Content: Provides an overview of the out-of-the-box roles and content shipped with the portal.
The basic configuration steps are described in Initial Configuration Tasks. Once you have performed these steps, your portal should be fully functional.
Note
There is no post-installation wizard-based template configuration for the portal.
Advanced configuration steps for the super administrator are described in Super Administration.
Once you have completed the basic configuration in the portal, you can work through the variant-specific configurations. Typically, you would perform these after the super administrator has completed the mandatory advanced configuration steps. For more information, see Running an Enterprise Portal.
