Procedure documentationProviding a User for Managing ILM Stores with SRS

 

To be able to use Storage and Retention Service (SRS) for managing ILM stores, you need a user with the following authorizations:

User

Description

Communications User

Necessary only if you want to call up SRS in another system (remote SRS) using an HTTP connection.

The communications user has to be created in the AS ABAP, on which SRS runs. You can grant your user, or a special user, the necessary authorization.

Administration User

User with the authorization to register ILM stores in SRS store administration.

Procedure

Only for use with remote SRS User for logging on to SRS with an HTTP connection

  1. In the AS ABAP on which SRS runs, call up the transaction PFCG (user maintenance).

  2. If you do not want to use your user (and other additional users) as communications users, you can create a user for specifically this purpose.

  3. Assign the authorizations of the SAP_BC_ILM_SRS_REQUESTS role to each user who may need to log on to SRS with an HTTP connection.

Authorizing Users to Register ILM stores in SRS Store Administration

  1. In the application system (live application system or Retention Warehouse system), call the transaction PFCG (user maintenance).

  2. Assign the authorizations for the SAP_BC_ILM_SRS_REQUESTS role to each user who is to use SRS store administration.
