Function documentationDeletion of Event Types with Dependencies

You can use this report to remove all dependent configuration entries for a range of event types. The system does not allow you to delete event types on the SAP Easy Access screen, under Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Demand Planning Next navigation step Environment Next navigation step Demand Planning Worklist End of the navigation path if the event type is used in configurations, such as the following:

  • Outlier detection profiles

  • Settings you made in Customizing for Advanced Planning and Optimization, under Start of the navigation path Supply Chain Planning Next navigation step Demand Planning (DP) Next navigation step Basic Settings Next navigation step Events and Outliers Next navigation step Configure Outlier Detection and Event Catalog Assignments End of the navigation path

  • Price change event type in forecast settings for planning areas

Integration

After you have run this report, the system allows you to delete the event type if the event type is not used in events. If however the event type is used in events, you must run the Mass Deletion of Events report to be able to delete all occurrences of a particular event type.

Features

The report deletes all configuration entries of the event type range you specify.

If you select the Simulate Deletion checkbox, you can run the report in simulation mode. This means that the system does not delete the event types and their dependent configurations, but lists the configurations where the event type is used. You can use the simulation mode to review the use of event types.

Note Note

The system does not allow you to run this report in batch mode.

End of the note.

To use this function, you must activate the business function SCM-APO-FCS, Events and Outliers, Causals, ABC/XYZ Classification (SCM_APO_FORECASTING_1). For more information, see SCM-APO-FCS, Events and Outliers, Causals, ABC/XYZ Classification.
