You need to add connection parameters to your back-end system in your locally installed SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) by choosing .
The following settings are required in your back-end system:
HTTP/HTTPS settings in ICM

Introduces cockpits and their role for NWBC and explains how to set up a new cockpit

Lists the name-value pairs of possible settings in table NWBC_CFG and describes their effects on the UI

Introduces the importance of the ~test page for troubleshooting and describes the content of this page
~launch Page
Describes how the ~launch page offers an overview of all available cockpits.
Transaction NWBC
Explains the use of transaction NWBC as a central starting point for cockpits, the ~test page and the ~launch page, and display options of cockpits in NWBC for HTML and NWBC for Desktop
You have installed the following:
NWBC on your local machine
SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP (SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP) with one of the following SAP NetWeaver releases:
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SP22 or higher
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1 SP7 or higher
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP2, 7.03, 7.11, 7.20, and 7.30 or higher
