The installation location of a maintenance object (see Maintenance Object) is derived from SAP ERP.

The installation location of a maintenance object is always the highest possible installation location (for example, an aircraft).

The maintenance object can be its own installation location (for example, the maintenance object is a particular aircraft), or can belong to a particular installation location (for example, the maintenance object is an equipment or functional location within a particular aircraft).

You can run the /SAPAPO/MSP_ADJ_PLAN transaction to run a batch report for the real-time update of maintenance objects. This report detects the dismantling of equipment in SAP ERP and unpacks the demands that have been packaged (using planning type Work packaging) to installation location demands.

To use this feature, you must activate the business function SCM Enhanced Maintenance & Service Planning for MRO (SCM_APO_MSP_EPS).
