You can define one or more rules for archiving jobs or to restart messages in which you set out conditions that a message must meet in order to be processed by the job. At least one of the defined rules must be met for archiving to take place.
If no rules are defined, the job processes all messages that come into consideration for each processing.
You have started the central SAP NetWeaver Administrator for PI and are in Background Processing.
To define rules for a job, proceed as follows:

...
1. Select the job required, choose Edit and then choose Rules.
2. Use the following input fields to formulate a condition for your rule.

3. When you have finished your entries, choose Add.
The condition is assigned to the current rule.
You can add further conditions. All conditions of a rule must be met in order for messages to be selected based on this rule.
4. Once you have finished defining your rule, choose Save.
The rule appears in the list of rules defined for this job. You can add additional rules or delete existing rules as you require.
