Prerequisites

Before you can create a transfer order for stock putaway with reference to an inbound delivery, you must first have created the handling units in the inbound delivery and they must already be packed.

Procedure

  1. To create transfer orders, start at Inbound delivery and select Putaway ® Create Transfer Order ® For Inbound Delivery.

The initial screen for creating transfer orders for inbound deliveries appears.

  1. Enter the warehouse number and the inbound delivery.

The handling-unit overview screen appears.

The handling units that were created, along with some additional data, are listed on the Active worklist tab page

To process all items at once, proceed with the putaway activities without making any further selections.

Note

If you wish to put away certain items later, you can move the handling units containing those items from the Active worklist to Inactive items by selecting the lines concerned and then choosing Inactive.

If you want to process inactive items and move them into the Active worklist, select the respective line and choose Active.

The items listed for which a transfer order for an inbound delivery has already been created within the current processing transaction appear on the Processed items tab.

  1. You have several putaway options available to you on the overview screen:

Choose Goto ® Create trans. order.

The system determines the destination storage bin.

You can call up the next item by choosing Create.

Save your data.

The transfer order number appears.

Note

If you set the Foregrnd/backgrnd indicator in the Control data section of the initial screen, the system confirms the transfer orders immediately and determines the destination storage bins for the handling units.
