Use

You can use this function if the picking of materials for a process order is managed through an external weighing system. This means that the materials required for the process order are weighed, filled, or measured.

The messages from the external weighing system are transferred to the R/3 System via the PI-PCS interface.

Integration

 

Prerequisites

  1. The weighing system must be specified as the control recipe destination so that information can be separated from the process order for the weighing system. It receives all materials, quantities, and batches (if known) that must be picked via its own control recipe with the standard process instruction MAT_INFO.

  2. The standard process message category PI_HUSTG with process message destination PI50 is used to transfer the messages to the R/3 System. The characteristics listed below describe the information that must be confirmed as import parameters from the external system to the process message destination.

If an HU number is not specified as the export parameter, external weighing systems automatically use the weigh number as the HU number.
