Background documentation Releasing Integration Objects Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

You can edit objects in both the Integration Repository and the Integration Directory specifically for each user. All changes are gathered together automatically in a change list. You can then either reject the change to the object or make it visible for other Integration Builder users by releasing the corresponding change list (see:  Change Lists).

Integration Repository

Objects in the Integration Repository are delivery objects. So that any changes made to them can be tracked, they are included in change lists when they are created and changed. When you activate a change list you release all changes for objects in the list. If you delete any objects, this is also included in the change lists.

Example

A Business Scenario references actions, mappings, and interfaces. When you create a Business Scenario, all objects are included in a user-specific change list. When you release these change lists, the objects become visible for all Integration Builder users.

Integration Directory

Integration Directory objects constitute configuration contents. When you configure the directory, particular customer requirements must be taken into account so that the contents of the directory can only be configured at the customer site. Nevertheless, change lists are also required for the Integration Directory so that you can release all changes in the configuration simultaneously for the runtime environment. When you release the objects, the Integration Server updates the directory runtime cache.
